The Fourth Sunday of Advent

This is the final video in our four part Advent reflection series.

In this video Mark reminds us of the importance of living contemplative lives as parents. To ponder on the ways that God is working, to pray first and act second, to contemplate the lives of our teenagers, and most of all to put ourselves in the shoes of Mary who held all things in her heart.

Tips moving forward from Advent:

  • Take a few minutes to look at a Nativity scene and put yourself in Mary’s shoes and meditate on her life in this moment.
  • Reinvest in the art of conversation with your teens and contemplate their answers to questions and the different aspects of their lives to learn more about them.
  • Go deeper in prayer – commit to praying the rosary or to reading the Sunday readings before Mass each week.
